## Caption

The ability to pierce tissue and deliver fluids has evolved independently across many species, producing structures that are surprisingly similar despite having different origins. Venomous animals have evolved microscopic channels, grooves, and hollow cavities that efficiently inject venom while minimizing the force needed to penetrate skin or prey.

Engineers study these natural designs to improve medical needles, making them sharper, less painful, and more effective. The comparison is a great example of convergent evolution, where nature repeatedly arrives at similar solutions to the same biological problem.
