Nobody talks about this part.

Kids get let down by people who promise the world and never come through. They get worn out, not from the game, but from fighting off haters and watching guys with half their work ethic get the opportunities because of who they know, not what they can do.

For kids chasing it overseas, add a different country, a different culture, and nights where the homesickness hits harder than any opponent ever could.

Real talk, success isn’t the absence of that stuff. It’s dealing with just as much frustration and negativity as it is joy. What decides your future isn’t whether you go through it. It’s how you carry it.

Thats why for me , Its not just about the on court mentoring, its also about the messages in the background, the advice and guidance, the emotional support, the never ending encouragement , the honesty , and making sure that kids always know that i’m there to help them , however and whenever i can 🫡❤️

That’s why resilience is everything. Not just in basketball. In life. What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger 🫶
