Carmine G. Agnello, the grandson of late mob boss John Gotti, has asked a federal judge to delay the start of his 15-month prison sentence for fraudulently taking $1.1 million in COVID-19 small business loans, in order to donate a kidney to his mother, Victoria Gotti, according to newly filed court papers.

But federal prosecutors — citing Agnello's past request for a delay in the case to donate a kidney to his mother, a surgery that didn't happen — objected to Agnello's request for a 60-day extension.
