If you’re an EMS professional, we want to hear your Red Cross story! 

Barbara Jackson, a dedicated Red Cross instructor who teaches various training classes like Wilderness First Aid, Babysitting and CPR for Professional Rescuers, joined our mission through a TV advertisement. 

“I saw an advertisement on the local TV station looking for Red Cross instructors and I started out volunteering both as an instructor and in Disaster Services. I did it while living in a new town and as an avenue to meet new people,” said Barbara. 

After becoming a Red Cross instructor in 2007, she discovered a newfound passion for health and safety, and became an adjunct instructor at Arkansas Tech University — a role she has served in for the last 10 years — and a nationally licensed EMS professional. 

We’re honored to have instructors like Barbara supporting our mission and to be a small part of her EMS journey. 💙
