Five years ago, I stood at this exact place with more questions than answers.

I wasn’t a PR.
I didn’t know if I’d be able to pay my fees.
I didn’t know if I’d find a job.
I didn’t know if Canada would ever feel like home.

There were days I questioned whether I should stay or go back.

Today, I came back to this same place in 2026.

As I stood here, I couldn’t help but smile.

In these five years, I got my PR, worked different jobs—from part-time shifts to full-time roles, from labour jobs to building a career. I started my own business, made investments, created passive income, and built a life that once felt impossible.

I came here hoping for a better future. What I found was more than I ever expected.

This place will always remind me where my journey started. Maybe a few years from now, I’ll come back again—not to relive the struggle, but to appreciate how far I’ve come.

If you’re an international student or someone going through a difficult phase, don’t give up because of where you are today. Keep learning, keep working, and keep believing in yourself. One day, you’ll look back and realize that every challenge was part of your story.
