In a harrowing scene captured on video as Canadian National Railway crew is surrounded by a raging wildfire inside a train in northern Ontario.

Here in Chicago, an air quality alert continue Wednesday and could even be extended into Thursday thanks to wildfire smoke from a cluster of fires in Canada.

"Smoke is getting trapped by the jetstream," NBC 5 Storm Team Meteorologist Alicia Roman said Wednesday, "and that pushes it down to the surface. That's when we could see some smoky, hazy conditions, but not until tonight."
