Happy retirement REBEL’S ROMANCE, a horse that proved himself to be truly one of the best to ever do it 💙 Godolphin’s nine-time Group 1/Grade I winner, who amassed earnings of $15,650,493 in his career of globetrotting success, retires with a record of 22 victories, one second, and two thirds from 32 starts over seven seasons.

Trained by Charlie Appleby, the 8-year-old Dubawi gelding reigns as the leading Breeders’ Cup starter by prize money as the only horse to have earned more than $5 million at the meeting.

Rebel’s Romance will now enter the Godolphin Lifetime Care programme, with plans to be announced in the coming days.

“You dream of having a horse like Rebel’s Romance and I am incredibly thankful to have been a part of his story,” said his trainer.
