Did Traditional Maasai Men Really Share Their Wives? 🤯

Among some traditional Maasai communities, certain marriage and hospitality customs were very different from what many people are familiar with today. Historical accounts describe practices in which, under specific cultural rules and with social acceptance, a husband could allow a trusted guest or another man to have a relationship with his wife. In some cases, children born from those relationships could be recognized within the family according to local customs.
