Arizona bettors put $737.2 million on sports and events in April alone. 😳

New figures released by the Arizona Department of Gaming show the statewide betting total was down about 1.2% compared with April 2025—but still averaged more than $24 million wagered per day.

The state collected nearly $6 million in event wagering privilege fees that month. Since legal sports betting launched in Arizona in 2021, bettors have wagered roughly $34.6 billion, generating about $185.8 million in fees for the state.

That $737 million represents the total amount wagered—not the amount bettors lost.

Be honest: how many Arizona parlays were ruined by one team in April? 😭
