Over the past few years, we’ve slowly watched electronic music collide with the underground rap scene, and the latest example is xaviersobased & Skrillex’s “Party At My Place” 🔊

With new visuals released by xaviersobased, the video sees the two vibing together as Skrillex brings his signature high-energy electronic production while xavier floats over it with the effortless flow that’s made him one of the underground’s most exciting voices. Originally recorded for an early version of Xavier, the song’s existence was accidentally revealed through Pitchfork and The FADER album reviews before xaviersobased officially confirmed it later that same day.

This crossover isn’t happening by accident. Artists like 2hollis have gone from opening for Ken Carson to becoming one of the defining names of this new wave, blending rage rap, hardstyle, dance-pop, and EDM into something that barely fits inside traditional rap.
