Pompoms at a teachers union convention? Not my usual content. But here’s the thing — I’ve been saying for years that it takes a village (or in my case, a city!) to raise my three. Teachers ARE that village. They showed up for my kids when I was figuring out single fatherhood, and 4,000+ of them are showing up for democracy, for public schools, for every family that looks like mine. So yeah, I brought the pompoms. 🎉📚 @aftunion president @randiweingarten brought the house down to day one. More to come on her epic speech!
