Endangered species can’t survive without a place to live.  
 
Yet the Trump administration just stripped crucial habitat protections from the Endangered Species Act by removing its long-standing definition of “harm.”  
 
We’re fighting this move in court.  
 
Without the Endangered Species Act, wolves wouldn’t be roaming the Rockies, grizzly bears wouldn’t be in Yellowstone, and bald eagles wouldn’t be soaring overhead today. Right now, this landmark law is a lifeline for more than 1,000 animals and plants fighting for survival. 
 
Every living thing needs habitat to survive. But now, logging, mining, drilling, and sprawling development will have an easier path into the last homes of imperiled species. 
 
This is one of the darkest moments we’ve ever seen for the Endangered Species Act. 
 
The Center for Biological Diversity is suing to defend the Endangered Species Act and every species that depends on it.
