Rock, Rubber, 45s screening at NYC SummerStage in 2018. koolboblove never needed to invite me to write for #BounceMagazine especially not after I featured him in my “Not Top 10 Plays” weekly recap from the #ForDaLoveRun we used to have at the Boys’ Club back in the mid 2000s. He didn’t need to pick up his landline when I used to call with questions about navigating my career as a freelancer nor to get behind my lens for all three of his documentary films (doinitinthepark stretchandbobbito & rockrubber45s ) but he did and for that I am grateful. Good lookin’ Bob! I want to send you some digital flowers for our friendship and your mentorship over the years 🗣
Fun fact: I also shot the portrait of pharoahemonch on the screen behind him during his performance.
