Campbell University has announced Ricky Davey as the new head coach of the Fighting Camels men’s soccer program.

Davey arrives in Buies Creek with 12 years of collegiate coaching experience, most recently serving as associate head coach at Mercer. During his two seasons with the Bears, Mercer produced 11 All-SoCon selections and earned the No. 2 seed in the 2025 SoCon Tournament.

His coaching résumé also includes successful stops with the Atlanta United Academy, Atlanta United 2, Georgia State, Georgia Revolution, Francis Marion, Le Moyne and Alabama Huntsville.

Davey becomes the 12th head coach in Campbell men’s soccer history and the 10th of the program’s Division I era.

A native of England, Davey holds UEFA A Elite, UEFA A Youth and USSF B coaching licenses.
