If I’m being honest, I didn’t want last Friday to come. A celebration of life makes it real. It gives things a finality.

What felt right was sharing the day with family, friends, and the many people who appreciated his work and the way he showed up in the world.

And so many of you came. So many more texted, called, and DM’d to let me know you were with us from a distance. Showing up when it’s hard is its own kind of love, and I felt that in every hug, every tear, every shared laugh. It was beautiful and heartbreaking to cry and laugh together. To remember Adam’s passion, his integrity, his love for us, and his deep love of sports.

To some people, sports are just a “silly game.” But to me, and to so many of us, it’s family. It’s belonging. It’s camaraderie and passion. It’s the moment when people can set aside their differences and stand together — shoulder to shoulder — as one.

That’s what Friday felt like. Whether you were in the room or sending love from across the country, you showed up. And that meant everything.

Adam spent his career serving fans telling their stories, honoring the games they loved, showing up so they didn’t have to miss a moment. The fact that so many of you showed up for him in return felt like something full circle. Something he would have appreciated deeply.

Thank you to everyone who attended Adam’s celebration of a life well-lived. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to grieve, remember, reach out, or simply process what he meant to you.

And thank you for being a fan. Because Adam never took that for granted. 🖤🦬💛
