Aubree and I had a little time alone while people were running errands and heading to the airport. She said, “I know there was one dunk by a Celtic that made Dad love the team, but I don’t remember it.” 

So we watched Dee Brown’s 1991 No-Look Dunk together.

Adam had told me that story so many times. He wanted those Reebok Pumps so badly, and once he finally got them, he pumped them up every time he played, which was daily, until they finally split.

Now we’re watching Celtics City together.
Adam watched the series three times all the way through after it premiered. He loved that it was made by Bill Simmons, a true fan of the team, and he especially appreciated that he included his dad in the interviews.

I hate that he isn’t here to tell Aubree these stories himself. But I’m grateful we still have them. And I’m grateful I get to help her find him in the things he loved.
