Here’s what Theta means to Leilani:
“When I got to UConn, I was looking for a community that would push me to become the best version of myself. In Theta, I found that exact community, and so much more. Every single woman in Theta has inspired me to be authentically kind, ambitious, and hardworking in so many ways, and in every area of my life. Even just as a new member, Theta has already given me countless unforgettable memories and one-of-a-kind friendships that, to me, are priceless. Theta has taught me that it truly is the people who make the memories. Philanthropy and sisterhood events are even more memorable because I get to do them with the amazing people I’ve gotten to know, love, and look up to.

I can’t wait for what’s yet to come these next few years with the people who have already become such an important part of my college experience and had such a significant impact on my life. I can’t wait for more late night library sessions, hikes to class in the winter, and hour-long rots in the dining hall. And I especially can’t wait to make other members and new members feel at home in Theta, just like others in Theta did for me. TLAM!!!”
