I’ve been waiting to write this post since I was 17 years old. Provo Canyon School is shut down. 

BOTH campuses. Forever. Since I was a teenager, I’ve had severe nightmares about that place. 💔 I dreamed of the day I could stand outside those gates and say that no child would ever have to suffer there again. When I stood outside Provo Canyon School in 2020, they covered the windows so the children inside couldn’t see that survivors and I were outside fighting for them. They thought they could hide the truth. They were wrong. 

Provo Canyon School really messed with the wrong girl, and with thousands of survivors who refused to stay silent for decades about what we all endured. 

This victory belongs to every survivor who told their story, every family who demanded accountability, every advocate who never gave up, and every person who believed us when so many didn’t. ❤️ 

Today, for the first time in a very long time, I feel something I never thought I would: Peace. 

But my fight isn’t over. Children are still being abused in facilities across our country. If you are hurting children, know this: we are coming. We are not backing down, and we will not stop until every child is safe. 

To every survivor of PCS: We did it. I’m so proud to be the hero I needed when I was a little girl 🤍
