Nobody hands you a permission slip when you’re in the middle of this. 

No one tells you it’s allowed to stop pushing, to rest, to ignore advice that isn’t working - even if it came from someone qualified.

I spent a long time waiting for someone to tell me it was okay to do things differently. 

That permission never came from outside. 

I had to give it to myself, one hard morning at a time.

She missed over 100 days of school in one school year alone. 

There were mornings I genuinely didn’t know if we’d get through it. 

She’s at university now - her first choice. 

I promise you, the permission you’re waiting for is already yours to give.

We got through.
