I think Gen X accidentally figured out happiness…

Not because life got easier.

Because our expectations got more realistic. 😂

At this point in life, happiness isn’t a sports car or a tropical vacation.

It’s canceled plans.

It’s a quiet house.

It’s leftovers in the fridge.

It’s finding a parking spot near the front of the store.

It’s sitting in the driveway for five minutes before going inside because, for those five glorious minutes…

Nobody needs anything from you.

We spent our childhood chasing excitement.

Now we’re just hoping nobody asks us to help them move this weekend.

And honestly?

That’s peace. 😆
