7/12/26 marked a very special day in my life - the day I publicly declared my faith through baptism! Baptism is an outward expression of an inward transformation, a way to share with the world what Christ has already done in my heart. I grew up Catholic. I knew of God, but I didn't know what it meant to truly have a relationship with Jesus. For years, anxiety, fear, doubt, and worry consumed my mind. Over the last two years, that struggle only grew. Even when I wasn't seeking God, He never stopped pursuing me. A friend reminded me that He has been waiting with open arms for me to come back to Him. I spent so much time trying to control my future, chasing opportunities and worrying if I was on the right path. That is a burden I was never meant to carry. Jesus already has a plan for my life, and true peace came when I stopped trying to control every outcome and started trusting Him instead. After a car accident earlier this year, I looked back and saw God's hand over my life - and over everyone else on the road that day. It was an 'in your face' reminder that I needed to let go, and let God. It was almost like He was saying to me, 'can you trust me now?!!’ Jesus has replaced my fear with peace and shown me that His plans are far greater than my own. This is a more vulnerable post, but it's one that reflects HOW MUCH Jesus has changed my life. Thank you, GT Church, for being the place where I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ. No longer afraid.🤍 Proverbs 3:5-6
