❗️A Ford buyer is suing the automaker over a $1.3 billion tariff benefit, arguing that customers who paid higher prices deserve a share.

San Diego resident Jason Bullock purchased a new 2025 Mustang Mach-E on February 21, 2026, and claims Ford incorporated tariff costs into vehicle prices and destination charges.

One day before his purchase, the Supreme Court ruled that the International Emergency Economic Powers Act did not authorize the challenged tariffs.

Ford later reported a $1.3 billion one-time benefit related to duties it paid between March 2025 and February 2026.

The proposed class action argues that keeping both the tariff-related price increases and the resulting refunds or credits would give Ford a “double recovery.”

Bullock wants to represent a nationwide class of affected Ford customers, along with a separate California subclass.

Ford says it is reviewing the complaint, while no class has been certified and none of the allegations have been proven in court.

If customers absorbed the extra tariff costs, should Ford be allowed to keep the entire benefit now that those tariffs have been overturned?

What are your thoughts? 🤔💭
