Forget sleek gadgets—the Batmobile in The Batman was engineered to sound less like a machine and more like a terrifying apex predator.

To achieve this monstrous roar, the sound team layered a raw V8 engine with the eerie, distorted shrieks of a time-stretched bottle rocket and a reversed WWII Jeep.

By mixing the audio to intentionally redline and distort like a mythical dragon, they successfully tricked the audience’s brains into feeling the physical threat of a living creature closing in.
