Let me get something off my chest. Pun intended.

You will stop me in a restaurant and tell me how beautiful it is when you see me nursing. You’ll nod approvingly. You’ll maybe even say something encouraging to the stranger next to you.

But the moment I share about that same journey online — the wins, the hard parts, the education, the reality of exclusively breastfeeding twins three months in — suddenly I need attention. I need validation. I’m oversharing.

Here’s why I share.

For the new mom still sneaking off to her car to nurse because nobody ever told her she didn’t have to. For the woman in the restaurant bathroom right now, sitting on the edge of a toilet seat, feeding her baby in the only place she felt she wouldn’t bother anyone. For the women wondering whether they can still be exactly who they are — ambitious, driven, fully themselves — with a baby attached to them half the day.

The answer is yes. And I know that because someone shared it before I was ready to believe it.

Breastfeeding content isn’t about me. It’s about the mom who finds it at 3am and feels less alone.

That’s why I’m not going to stop talking about it. 🤍
