Hitch Resets. The Micro-Hitch.
Don’t get HOPPY!!

I’ve said it before and will say it over and over: “How you move is how you throw.”

When performing resets in the pocket most QBs have learned to hop, hop, hop.
This promotes:
• 2 feet simultaneously off the ground.
• Vertical forces - quad and calf bias
• No directional propulsion
• Compromised position for throwing

Working through progressions and resets can be much more efficient and productive with a “micro-hitch” approach that (for a R-handed QB) is a rhythmic Left-Right, Left-Right pattern.

This can be used for ‘inside turns’ to the right, or ‘outside turns’ to the left.

There is a fair amount of detail to the execution but if you picture a small hoop lying on the ground and circle around the hoop as you ‘hitch, hitch, hitch’ you should get the general feel.
