🤯 THE REAL STORY BEHIND THE NAME "OASIS"!

Before Oasis became one of the biggest bands on the planet, they were just a struggling Manchester group desperately trying to find a name that didn't sound ridiculous.

According to Liam Gallagher, the band's original name was so bad it had to be changed immediately. Then something strange started happening...

The word "Oasis" kept appearing everywhere.

A poster. A venue. A taxi company. A random business. The name just kept popping up until Liam finally said: "Oasis."

The rest is music history.

Meanwhile, Noel Gallagher wasn't even in the band yet. He was working as a roadie for Inspiral Carpets, trying not to get fired after, in his own words, blagging his way into the job despite having no clue what he was doing.

Liam's master plan? Start a band, prove they were serious, and convince Noel to join and write the songs.

It worked.

After tours across America, Japan and Argentina, Noel finally came on board. The Gallagher brothers were both eventually fired by Inspiral Carpets for being, shall we say, less than model employees... but that dismissal may have been the best thing that ever happened to British music.
