We just got Dell’s new $699 XPS 13 in our office. 

Despite the lower price, Dell kept the sturdy, all-metal build. It weighs just 2.2 pounds, making it lighter and trimmer than Apple’s budget Neo. Plus, you get a larger 13.4-inch touch screen and a backlit keyboard. There are some hardware compromises to hit this price point, but it feels premium.
