1. Negative space - Do you have an empty wall that seems ok as is, but you still feel pressured to hang something?

Get past that pressure.

It’s ok to leave a wall empty 👌 These spaces are as valuable as filled ones.

They allow the eye to rest, they create balance. Even in the most decorated interior design styles.

2. Scale matters - two weeks ago I saw a listing where the living room was huge, but the furniture was small. It was so off… 😅

Understanding that the scale of furniture and objects relative to a space is crucial 🥹

The furniture pieces can either get lost or can overwhelm a room so choose accordingly 🙌🏻

3. Trends are best used in decor - in fashion it is best to have a wardrobe consisting of basic and classic clothes that are timeless, and few pieces here and there that are on trend 😎.

I think that same goes with interior design.

Your biggest furniture should be classic and timeless, and easily combined 🎀

If you like trends, then I think it’s better to keep them for small decor pieces, maybe rugs, even some lamps and artwork. 🖼️🛋️

Thoughts? 👇💭🙌🏻
