The game that changed the trajectory of my life… 🏆⚽️

The craziest thing about making that statement is realizing how long it took me to actually be comfortable saying it.

Because in that exact moment when I knew I wanted to move abroad… I couldn’t tell many people. Not because I didn’t believe in it but because I knew the type of questions and opinions that would start rolling in.

How do you sell everything you own?
How do you tell your job you’re leaving for “a new experience” when you don’t even know exactly what that experience will become?
How do you ignore the opinions telling you that you’re throwing your career away?

📦 So I muted the noise and quietly packed up my life.

🌟 That’s when I learned one of my biggest life lessons:
“Don’t take advice from people who aren’t where you want to be.”

⏩ Fast forward to today… experiencing the World Cup in America 🇺🇸🏆

Not only was it surreal to experience it in my own country, but I also got to connect with people from all over the world/ bond over travel/ share stories/ hear their perspective on America.

And honestly… it felt like watching my Sims have a grand ole time 😂 The same way locals in other countries looked out for me when I was traveling, I got to watch people create their own memories here.

🫴✨ And that’s exactly why I’ll always say: send it.
1️⃣ The experiences you gain will create connections that last a lifetime
2️⃣ Learning through your own experiences will always teach you more than anything you read online
3️⃣ You can always come home and home will still be there waiting for you
