A 21+ only zone could be coming to areas of the Chippewa bar district following recent violence in downtown Buffalo.

The proposal from lawmakers is for areas of the district to be 21+ only after 10 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. However, many bars in the area are against the proposal, saying they, along with other downtown businesses, will lose clientele.
