Today, we are proud to introduce Kristen, aka @ladylassen as the 22nd recipient of the coin. 
Here is her story, in her own words

“Thirteen years ago, I crashed my motorcycle. Blacked out, lying in the road, with half of my body fractured. People often ask if it changed my life. The truth is, it did. But probably not in the way they’d expect.

Growing up, my dad always told me, “The difference between adventure and adversity is your attitude.” At the time, I didn’t fully understand what he meant. Now, I carry those words with me everywhere.

That crash could have been the end of my story with motorcycles. Instead, it became the beginning of something much bigger.

Since then, motorcycles have taken me places I never imagined. With well over 100,000 miles under my belt with many of them being road trips and cross-country trips with friends, family or just myself.. They’ve given me a career, lifelong friendships, opportunities to travel, and a passion that’s shaped who I am. They’ve led me to become a technician, a photographer, a storyteller, and a business owner. They’ve introduced me to people who’ve challenged me to grow, and ultimately inspired me to pursue a new path, a career in emergency medicine.

The road hasn’t always been smooth. There have been setbacks, failures, moments of doubt, and plenty of reasons to quit. But every challenge became another chance to choose my attitude.

Recently, I was humbled to receive a CRSD challenge coin. CRSD stands for Composure. Resilience. Self-Discipline. Determination. Those are the very values I’ve learned through every mile, every setback, and every new beginning.

I’m grateful for the roads I’ve traveled, the people I’ve met, and even the obstacles that forced me to become someone stronger than I thought I could be.

The road will test you. How you respond is what defines the journey.”
