POV: You accidentally find your new favorite dinner spot in Fort Lauderdale 🍣✨

We tried nearly the entire menu at Sakana Nikkei and I’m already planning our next visit. The fusion of Peruvian + Japanese flavors here is honestly next level.

Ava was obsessed with the shrimp tempura 🍤 and surprisingly LOVED the Lomo Saltado — marinated tenderloin steak with vegetables and rice that was absolutely melt-in-your-mouth perfection.

And the sushi… WOW. As people spoiled from living in New York for over a decade, I do not say this lightly: this was some of the BEST sushi we’ve had on this coast of Florida. The freshness of the octopus, the crudo, every single bite burst with flavor.

The vibe is sleek, upscale, and elevated… but somehow still so comfortable for bringing Ava, which made the whole experience even better for our family nights out.

And we HAVE to talk about the chocolate dome dessert 🍫✨ Light, decadent, and the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal.

Huge shoutout to Camilo for being incredibly attentive and knowledgeable — he made sure we experienced all of the best dishes on the menu and truly elevated the entire night.
