Another hidden gem ✨️ Looking for a scenic + kid-friendly walk in the Lake District? This Rydal Cave loop is perfect for a 5-hour family adventure — rivers, caves, cows, cozy cafés, and village views!

Here’s the route:
1. Start: Park at Pelter Bridge Car Park (LA22 9LW)
🚗 Small car park, so try to arrive before 10am!
Other options:
• Rydal Water Car Park (LA22 9SE)
• White Moss Car Park (LA22 9SE)

2. Walk to Rydal Cave (~1 mile / 30 mins)
Or 60 mins with lots of fun stops to enjoy with the kids!
🌊 Stop at River Rothay — splash, cross, play. Bring waterproof shoes or go barefoot for fun! There's also a bridge for dry crossing for those who are not keen of getting soaked!

3. Explore the cave
🪨 Walk across the stepping stones, take pics, and enjoy the echo!

4. Head back via a different trail
🐄 Bonus: you might spot some cows on your return route!

5. Move your car to park in the village (Park at Red Bank (LA22 9SW))

6. Lunch stop ideas (Grasmere area): Matjilda’s Café, Greens Café, The Jumble Room
