The Queens Classic — the 45th meeting between the Washington Spirit and Gotham FC and a rematch of last year’s NWSL Championship game — before 42,175 fans at Citi Field.

And, yes, that was the actual color of the sky. Wildfire smoke and a summer thunderstorm turned the sky brown and orange.
