On July 15, 2026, Direxion launched the Direxion Daily SK Hynix Bull 2X ETF (NASDAQ: SKHL), offering investors twice the daily performance of SK Hynix's U.S.-listed shares (NASDAQ: SKHY). The launch comes days after SK Hynix's blockbuster Nasdaq debut, which is expected to raise up to $29.4 billion surpassing Alibaba's $21.8 billion ADR record set in 2014.
In an exclusive interview with Benzinga, Jake Behan, Direxion's head of Capital Markets, described SK Hynix as sitting "at the intersection of several important themes being watched closely by traders, including semiconductors, the AI infrastructure buildout and memory chip demand."
SK Hynix is the world's leading supplier of high-bandwidth memory (HBM) chips a critical component paired with AI accelerators. The company has already qualified its next-generation HBM4 products for NVIDIA's upcoming Vera Rubin platform, cementing its position as a key memory partner to the world's dominant AI chip designer.
SKHL enters a competitive field. Leverage Shares had already launched a 2x Long SK Hynix Daily ETF (CBOE: SKHX) and a 1x Short SK Hynix Daily ETF (CBOE: SKHZ). Direxion, which has managed leveraged and inverse ETFs for more than two decades, says its differentiators include issuer experience, liquidity, execution infrastructure, and a broad counterparty network.
Behan emphasized that leveraged ETFs are built for tactical traders: "Leveraged ETFs are designed for sophisticated traders who understand the impact of daily compounding and the risks associated with amplified exposure." Periods surrounding major IPO and ADR launches can be especially volatile.
