The hardest thing about living in Korea as a foreigner is accepting that you can leave your stuff anywhere… but your survival instincts won’t let you. 😂🇰🇷

Coming from a place where you’re always careful with your belongings, Korea can feel unreal. 😭

You’ll see people leaving their phones, wallets, laptops, and bags at cafés while they step away. Some restaurants even have people leaving their seats with their belongings to save their spot. 

Even outside, you’ll notice motorcycles parked with helmets left on them, delivery items left outside, and cars parked without the same level of worry many foreigners are used to. 

For many foreigners, our first reaction is always:
“Wait… isn’t someone going to take that?” 👀

But after living in Korea, you slowly learn that this level of trust and safety is part of the everyday culture here. 😂🇰🇷

(Of course, no place is 100% crime-free, but the contrast can feel very surprising depending on where you come from.)

Even after years of living here, this level of trust is still one of the biggest culture shocks. 🇰🇷✨
