What to know 👇 
💰 Over $2.6 million in funding has been secured to support crucial floodplain restoration along the 44-mile river in Jefferson County. 

🏡 Funding will go towards projects to reduce intensity of flooding along neighborhoods like Ensley, Eastlake + Avondale. 

🐟 Village Creek has suffered from severe flooding events for decades, impacting over 30,000 local homes since 1970. 

🏞️ Flowing right through the heart of the Black Warrior River Watershed, restoring this creek is vital for the local community and ecosystem.
