જો તમે એવું વિચારતા હોવ કે બેંકમાં પૈસા કે દાગીના મૂકવાથી તે સંપૂર્ણ સુરક્ષિત છે, તો દાહોદની આ ચોંકાવનારી ઘટના જાણીને તમારી આંખો ખુલી જશે. દાહોદમાં ઠગોએ ફિલ્મ 'હેરા ફેરી'ના લક્ષ્મી ચિટ ફંડથી પણ એક ડગલું આગળ વધીને આખી નકલી બેંક જ ઊભી કરી દીધી હતી! આરોપીઓએ ઓફિસ ભાડે રાખી, ચેકથી ફર્નિચર ખરીદ્યું અને 'ઉત્કર્ષ સ્મોલ ફાઇનાન્સ'ના નામે આખો સેટઅપ તૈયાર કરી સ્થાનિકોના ઇન્ટરવ્યૂ પણ લીધા. આ આખી ગોઠવણ બાદ ઠગોએ સ્થાનિક જ્વેલરને રથયાત્રામાં સોનાનું દાન આપવાના બહાને બોલાવી આશરે ૨૦૦ ગ્રામ સોનું મંગાવ્યું હતું. જ્વેલર જેવો સોનું લઈને પહોંચ્યો કે તરત જ આરોપીઓ લોકરમાંથી રૂપિયા લાવવાનું બહાનું કાઢી પાછળના દરવાજેથી સોનું લઈને રફુચક્કર થઈ ગયા હતા. હાલ દાહોદ A ડિવિઝન પોલીસે ગુનો નોંધી તપાસના ચક્રો ગતિમાન કર્યા છે.
