As we continue through the Lent season, I want to talk to you today about intimacy with God.

We’re not talking about physical closeness here, but the spiritual kind. The kind that grows when you spend time with Him in prayer, studying His word, and worshipping Him. The kind that goes beyond just knowing about God; experiencing Him, talking to Him, and inviting Him into your day to day.

How do you cultivate this intimate connection? 

Through prayer and communication with God and meditation on the scriptures. 

Remember, a relationship with God is like any other relationship - it requires effort, time and dedication. Without communication, any relationship grows weak. Without commitment, any relationship is doomed to fail. As we mature as believers, it’s important to nurture our relationship with God, knowing it’s a walk of life instead of a season.

Lastly, it’s important to remember that God is always there for us. He listens, he cares, and he wants us to be close to him. So let’s open our hearts and minds to him, expressing our thoughts and feelings honestly and authentically.
