Sony once released a camera that could supposedly “see through clothes” but the real story was very different. 👀📹

In 1998, Sony introduced NightShot to record clearly in complete darkness. But under bright sunlight, some thin synthetic fabrics appeared slightly transparent on camera.

Sony quickly changed the feature in newer models, while the cameras already sold remained with their owners.

And no, it could never see through walls. Infrared cannot pass through solid walls.
