💙 I switched my split recently and have been hitting legs more consistently, and I do not think I was fully taking that into consideration when it came to lifts & recovery, especially considering my past history with my knee.

Earlier this week it almost sort of locked into place and it really freaked me out. The last time that happened was over a year ago, and it was the sole reason I stopped hitting legs altogether for months.

It reminded me that healing is not always linear, and it is something I still need to be mindful of.

I started with incline cardio to see how I felt. I have an appointment scheduled for October and I am on the waitlist, so I am hopeful I will get in sooner.

My long term goal is to fully heal my knee so I can finally train quads the way I want to. It has been a process and I have not rushed it, because good things take time. I know my goals are bigger than just right now, so I am willing to be patient.

Every day I step into the gym is another small step toward the future version of me I am working so hard for.

I have been sharing my life on here for a very long time and consistently documenting my gym journey for over three years now, and that is not changing.

Through it all, I remind myself to keep my head held high. Nobody is perfect, which is why it is so important to lead with kindness and compassion.

Along the way I have gotten so many messages from people saying I have inspired them, and even just one message like that is enough. This page may be a space for me to document my own growth, but my bigger goal is to remind people of their worth.

Before the gym I was in the darkest place of my life. I promise you it gets better so please keep keep going while also giving yourself grace.

You got this.
