CHS Tennis standout Connor Jackson ‘26 of Williamsville was named to the 2025-26 Spring All-Western New York Scholar-Athlete Team. 

The team is named by a Section VI committee and is based on athletes that are key contributors to the team that also excel in the classroom (minimum 90% cumulative average). 

Jackson was a part of CHS Tennis’ Monsignor Martin Athletic Association championship and earned a trip to the New York State Catholic High Schools Athletic Association championships at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City in late May. 

Also an excellent golfer, Jackson also earned a berth in the NYSCHSAA golf championships at James Baird Park in Poughkeepsie that same weekend. 

Canisius also had six seniors who earned honorable mention on the Spring All-Western New York Scholar-Athlete Team: 

Nicholas Scime ‘26 of Amherst (Baseball)
Jack Grillo ‘26 of East Amherst (Tennis)
Brody Murray ‘26 of Niagara Falls (Tennis)
Gary Hall ‘26 of Lewiston (Tennis)
Ethan Fronczak ‘26 of Cheektowaga (Track & Field)
Benjamin Eppolito ‘26 of West Seneca (Track & Field)

Canisius had nine additional athletes who met the requirements for nomination to the All-WNY Scholar Athlete Team in sports that are not recognized by Section VI. 

Those athletes are:

Naz Drofyich ‘26 of Kenmore (Rowing)
Ethan Pirigyi ‘26 of Buffalo (Rowing)
Tommy Snyder ‘26 of Orchard Park (Rowing)

John Hart ‘26 of West Falls (Rugby)
Octavian Santacrose ‘26 of Buffalo (Rugby)
Charles Marynowski ‘26 of Buffalo (Sailing)
Matt Murad ‘26 of Buffalo (Sailing)
