I’ll be celebrating “Animal Planet Week” at fairytaletownsac this Saturday, July 25th at 2PM! Come listen to my read aloud of COME BY CHANCE, a beloved picture book by Madeleine Winch. 

COME BY CHANCE is a warm and tender tale of friendship, compassion, generosity and hospitality. It was a story read to me often, by my mother, as a young child. 

COME BY CHANCE 
Out walking far away from anywhere, Bertha comes across a little abandoned house. She begins repairing the rundown cottage and turns it into her cosy home which she names ‘Come by Chance.’ And there Bertha lives, all alone, until one stormy night when, one by one, animals come from near and far to take refuge in her cozy and safe little house.
