The second autopsy results are in. And they have raised more questions than they have answered.

An independent examination of Nolan Wells’ body by Dr. Robert Mitchell, former chief medical examiner for Washington D.C. and president of the National Medical Association, found a significant unexplained area of discoloration at the back of the 18-year-old’s head.

No laceration. No skull fracture. No clear cause.

And critically: the initial medical examiners never delivered the inner parts of Wells’ neck to Dr. Mitchell for examination.
The report’s conclusion is the part that stops you cold: the pathologist “cannot rule out if any intervening non-accidental factors contributed to or caused the death of Nolan Wells.”
Ben Crump said it plainly: “He cannot rule out foul play. That is significant.”

The family is still demanding toxicology results. Still demanding answers about what was found in his lungs, his throat, and his stomach. Still demanding that someone who was on that island on July 4 come forward.
