Nolan Wells was laid to rest Monday. And his family is still searching for answers.

Tyler Perry and Rev. Al Sharpton are now jointly offering a $100,000 reward for information about the 18-year-old’s death. Sharpton delivered the eulogy, addressed critics directly, and made the community’s ask crystal clear.

“We just want the truth. That’s all. We just want the truth.” His mother Christine spoke at her son’s funeral while simultaneously dealing with hate mail from anonymous senders targeting a grieving family that simply dared to ask what happened to their child.
“If you ever had the privilege of meeting our son Nolan, or calling him a friend, then you experienced a glimpse of God’s love through him,” she said.

Autopsy results are still pending. The investigation continues. Ben Crump is still on the case.
