Before the Maui, Hawaiʻi community screening of Disney’s Moana, Hawaiʻi artist Josh Tatofi delivered a special pre-screening performance celebrating the spirit of the islands, Polynesian storytelling, and the cultures that inspired the film.

Josh was joined by talented musicians throughout the set, including Nuff Sedd & Tiana Nonosina Liufau, Associate Producer and Choreographer for Disney’s live-action Moana. Alongside Kayla Fa’amaligi, the two had the privilege of collaborating with disneystudios to help bring the special community screening to life, making the evening an even more meaningful celebration of Pacific storytelling and culture.

As Josh’s performance came to a close with “Tennessee Whiskey,” the Maui crowd received an unforgettable surprise when Seiuli Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson joined Josh on stage for a special performance. Following the moment, Seiuli Dwayne Johnson welcomed the audience and introduced the feature presentation.
