The entertainment world is mourning the loss of Kaylee Hottle, the young deaf actress best known for portraying Jia in "Godzilla vs. Kong" and "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire." Hottle p@ssed away early Tuesday following a car ccident in Ijamsville, Maryland, where she was a passenger in a single-vehicle collision. She was later pronounced d3ad at a trauma center, while the driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Coming from a multi-generational deaf family, Hottle began her career in commercials and advocacy campaigns promoting deaf representation before landing her breakout role at just 14 years old. Her performance as Jia a character who communicated with Kong through sign language earned widespread praise, including from co-star Alexander Skarsgård, and brought authentic deaf representation to a major Hollywood franchise.
