15-year-old national-level shooter Damayanti Sen, who recently earned a spot in the national team trials, went missing from Howrah Station on Thursday afternoon after stepping out to buy household items. A frantic 40-hour search followed, with CCTV footage tracing her movements through the station before she was eventually located at Ramkrishnapur Ghat in Howrah early Saturday morning.

Investigators believe she left home due to mounting stress from balancing rigorous shooting training with her studies. Her father, Dhruvajyoti Sen, expressed relief at having her back safely, while her coach, Olympian Joydeep Karmakar, confirmed she was found unharmed. West Bengal Sports Minister Indranil Khan had personally met the family during the search. Damayanti has since been reunited with her parents and is doing well.
