## Caption

Brought in as the Yzerman era special Appleton was expected to provide some depth offense around 20-30 points with a very solid defensive game as the Wings were coming off a historically bad PK. But Appleton provided little of either. His offense was almost non existent other than a few stretches and his defense was nothing special.
