🏡 A western North Carolina man has been sentenced to more than 11 years in federal prison after prosecutors said he orchestrated a multimillion-dollar log cabin building scheme.

According to court documents, Jason Speier collected more than $2.5 million from at least 24 customers while falsely claiming his company could build European-sourced log cabin homes. Prosecutors said he never successfully completed a single project.
